Description
Starbucks logo www.starbucks.com The Starbucks logo is one of the world's most recognizable brand marks, instantly connecting global consumers with specialty coffee culture. Visual Elements The Siren: The central figure is a twin-tailed Siren, a mythical creature from maritime lore chosen to honor the seafaring history of early coffee traders. The Silhouette: The illustration shows a symmetrical, close-up view of the Siren wearing a crown with a five-pointed star and holding her two distinct tails. Framing: The current design uses a clean, borderless circle that allows the white figure to emerge naturally from the background. Color Palette Starbucks Green: The logo relies entirely on a single, deep shade of forest green paired with a crisp white silhouette. Psychology: In brand design, this specific green is intentionally used to evoke feelings of freshness, relaxation, and premium quality. Evolution The original 1971 logo was a detailed, brown emblem featuring a bare-chested, double-tailed mermaid meant to reflect 15th-century Norse woodcuts. Over the decades, the design was streamlined, adopting its signature green palette in 1987. In 2011, to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Starbucks completely dropped the text "Starbucks Coffee" and the outer black ring, relying entirely on the wordless Siren to prove its status as a global powerhouse.
